About the Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to provide financial support and guidance to students who are eager to study and work in Germany, but face financial challenges. The scholarship will cover the cost of your preparation programme, which includes:
- German Language Classes: A comprehensive German language course to help you acquire the necessary language skills for communication and integration in Germany. Proficiency in German is essential for success in both the classroom and workplace during your Dual Vocational Training.
- Accommodation in PJ: Accommodation during the preparation programme is provided. It’s within walking distance to your German classes as well as convenience stores and a shopping mall.
- Matching with Sponsor Companies: The scholarship programme will match you with a German company in your chosen field of study. This crucial step ensures that you receive the required work experience and apprenticeship, which is a central part of the Dual Vocational Training programme.
- Mentorship and Career Guidance: Our team will provide you with mentorship and career guidance so that you will be sufficiently prepared for your interview with the sponsor company.
- Comprehensive Support: We will support you with all that is needed to ensure that you are well-prepared to move to Germany; for example, assisting with visa applications and logistical arrangements.
Dual Vocational Training placements are available in these fields:
- Culinary and Hospitality
- Nursing
- Technical fields (such as Mechanics or Electricians)
Eligibility
- Malaysian students with a passion for learning and a strong interest in pursuing vocational training in Germany.
- Have completed secondary education (SPM) with at least 5 Bs, including Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mathematics. Trial SPM results are accepted.
- Sat for SPM in year 2023 to 2025 and below 20 years old.
- Applicants must come from financially struggling backgrounds and demonstrate a need for financial assistance.
- Strong motivation and commitment to master the German language.
- Strong motivation and commitment to complete the full training program in Germany.

Who can apply for German Educare's Scholarship?
To apply, you should have sat for SPM in year 2023 to 2025 with at least 5 Bs and below 20 years old. You should also show a clear need for financial support. Additionally, you should be highly motivated to learn German and committed to completing the DVT Preparation Programme as well as the full DVT programme in Germany.
Will I be bonded with German Educare upon graduation?
No, you will not be bonded. This scholarship is meant to help you start your career in Germany so that you are capable of helping your family financially.
What is the coverage of German Educare Scholarship?
The German Educare Scholarship covers the programme fee for the DVT Preparation Programme, accommodation in PJ during the preparation programme, German exams as well as a one-way flight ticket to Germany. Other miscellaneous expenses related to visa/travel and living expenses will also be subsidised.
How will I know whether I am shortlisted?
Only shortlisted applicants will be notified. If you are shortlisted, we will get in touch via the email address provided in your online application. Therefore, please ensure that your contact details are accurate.
Can I appeal if I am not shortlisted?
All decisions of the selection committee are final.
I missed the application deadline. Can I still submit my application?
Only applications submitted by the closing date will be accepted.
If I do not complete the DVT Preparation Programme or the DVT, or fail to obtain the DVT qualification, do I need to repay German Educare?
Yes, you will need to reimburse all expenses paid by German Educare.
I have family members working in German Educare. Can I still apply?
As long as you meet the requirements stated above, you can apply.
