According to a survey done by Study.EU, Germany is the most attractive country for international students. International students make up more than 16% of all students in Germany, and in some popular universities, the number can be as high as 20%!

There are over 100 universities and technical universities, 220 universities of applied sciences, 60 art, film or music colleges and various other professional certification institutions.

German education prepares the student for their career. In addition to lectures and coursework, students have to complete their industrial internship at companies.

Germany offers students a high standard of living at a relatively lower cost compared to other popular study destinations. It’s recommended for students to set aside €992 per month for expenses. This includes food, rent, insurance, transportation, and all necessary essentials.

Non-EU students are allowed to work part-time up to 120 days or 240 half-days yearly. This helps to cover some of their living expenses while studying in Germany.

International students who graduate from a German university enjoy great job opportunities. Graduates can apply for an 18-month job seeking visa and this allows them to stay on in Germany. In addition, many German companies are international and some, Deutsche Bank, Infineon, B Braun, Deutsche Post, Allianz, and Bayer to name a few, even have offices in Malaysia.

Germany is surrounded by 9 countries – Denmark, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Luxembourg, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands. It is easy to travel to those countries via bus, train or low-cost airlines.

Universities receive ample funding from both the government and the private sector. Students will have the opportunity to assist researchers and be at the front of cutting-edge technologies.
